In memory of Olivia, this Christmas we held our first fundraiser for “The Olive Girl Project”.

We designed and implemented a t-shirt fundraiser to raise funds for NICU parents who presently have a baby in the NICU at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter (CHKD) in Norfolk, VA  where Olivia was cared for during her short life.

We raised $1,500!!!  What a great way to start!  In speaking with the social workers at CHKD, we will be purchasing gift cards for Walmart and local gas stations to offer support for parents and help them cope with the many challenges of having a baby in the NICU.

We will be meeting with the NICU staff in the coming weeks to hand off the gift cards and visit with the staff and parents!
